It’s one of the most exciting events in the cheese calendar – and we’re thrilled that three Snowdonia favourites won accolades at the British Cheese Awards, organised by The Royal Bath & West Society. This year, it was hosted for the first time by the new Bath & West Food & Drink Festival in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, from 22nd to 24th March.
Rock Star, our vintage cave-aged Cheddar, won both a gold medal and the sought-after People’s Choice Award, receiving the most votes during a live public poll at the event.
Meanwhile Green Thunder, our mature Cheddar with roasted garlic and garden herbs, was awarded a silver medal, and Red Devil, our Red Leicester with Habanero chillies, peppers and spices, won bronze.
