Can I place an order over the phone?
Unfortunately, we are unable to take orders over the phone. Please visit our online shop to purchase our products or, alternatively, visit our find a stockist page.
Where is my invoice?
Your invoice is sent to the email address that you enter when placing the order. You can also access your invoice from your website account if you have set one up.
How soon before a birthday or Christmas should I send a gift?
Orders will be dispatched 2-4 days from receipt of order. However, during busy periods delivery may take longer.
Is there a minimum order and a delivery charge?
There is a minimum order value of £20. Our delivery charge is £6 unless you spend £35 or more, in which case delivery is free (2-4 working day service). We ensure every order containing cheese is packed with a reusable/recyclable ice pack to ensure it arrives in the very best condition.
Where can I find my local stockist?

Here, you can also enter a postcode to see a list of stockists near you, including their addresses and contact details. We advise you to call them first to ensure they have the items you are looking for.
How will the order be packed?
Your order will be dispatched in insulated recyclable cardboard packaging to protect and refrigerate the products. An ice pack will also be added to keep your cheeses chilled and in optimum condition during dispatch.

If you have forgotten your password, please click on the forgotten password link when logging in and enter your username. Your password will be sent to the email address you registered with.
When will my order be delivered?
Orders will be dispatched 2-4 working days from receipt of order. We deliver Tuesday to Friday, so please ensure there will be someone available at your delivery address to receive your order.
What happens if I have entered the incorrect delivery address or postcode when placing my order?
Unfortunately, we can’t re-deliver a consignment if an incorrect address or postcode has been entered as the delivery address in our checkout. All non-delivered consignments are destroyed as they contain fresh goods. In this circumstance, the customer would be required to reorder the product(s) at their cost and pay for any associated shipping.
Do you deliver to PO boxes?
Unfortunately, our courier company is unable to deliver to PO boxes or BFPO addresses.
What is your returns policy?
As cheese is a perishable item, we can only accept returns for goods deemed to be in an unsatisfactory condition upon receipt, or for products mistakenly dispatched. Please contact us immediately upon receipt of any goods in an unsatisfactory condition or incorrectly dispatched.
My order has arrived damaged. What should I do?
We are sorry that your order has arrived damaged. Please contact info@snowdonia-cheese.co.uk who will be able to assist you. Please provide your order number and a photo/s of the damaged goods.
Are your products made on a nut-free site, and do any of your products contain nuts?
None of our cheeses contain nuts and they are produced on a nut-free site. However, some of our accompaniment items contain nuts and some others are manufactured at sites that are not nut-free. Information regarding allergens including nuts is available for each item on the website.
Can we come and visit you?
Unfortunately, our factory is not open to the public and we don’t have a shop. However, we do have stockists nationwide, which are listed on our website at snowdoniacheese.co.uk/find-a-stockist/.

How long can you keep Snowdonia cheese in the fridge for once it is opened?
As a guideline, we recommend enjoying your cheese within 7-10 days of opening, ensuring it is tightly wrapped and stored in the fridge.
Can you cook with Snowdonia cheese?
Yes, Snowdonia cheeses can be used for cooking. For recipe ideas, please see our website.
What are the white dots that appear in the cheese?
The small white dots are protein crystals that develop naturally as cheese matures.
Is the cheese suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, we use non-animal rennet in all our cheeses.
Is the cheese pasteurised?
Yes, each product is made using pasteurised milk.
How should the cheese be served?
We recommend serving the cheese at room temperature – it should ideally be taken out of the fridge half an hour before consuming.
How do I remove the wax from the cheese?
We recommend bringing the cheese to room temperature before cutting to allow the wax to become more supple. For the cleanest cut, we advise that either a cheese wire or sharp knife is used. Always take extreme care when using sharp knives. For more suggestions, visit our cutting guide.
What is the best way to store the cheese?
The cheese needs to be refrigerated at 2-5C and should be consumed by the best before date. We recommend bringing the cheese to room temperature before cutting it.
Are Snowdonia Cheese Co animals given artificial hormones?
No, our cows are never given artificial hormones.
Are Snowdonia Cheese Co animals given antibiotics?
Snowdonia Cheese Co cows are not fed antibiotics. A cow will only be administered antibiotics by a vet if they are sick and require treatment.
Is the wax recyclable?
Unfortunately, as the wax coating is food-grade packaging, it is not biodegradable or compostable.

Can I freeze Snowdonia Cheese products?
Our cheese is not suitable for freezing.
Does the weight of the cheese include the wax coating?
No, the weight of the cheese is as specified on the label and does not include the wax coating.
Do your products contain nuts?
None of our cheeses contain nuts and they are produced on a nut-free site.
Where is your cheese made?
Our cheeses are handcrafted in North Wales.
There are small flakes of wax on the cheese when I cut it open.
Our wax is a safe, food-grade packaging – however, it should not be consumed. Very small “flakes” that can only just be detected by the naked eye are not significant and are unlikely to cause a problem. However, we do recommend that you scrap these off.
What is the shelf life of your cheese?
We cannot guarantee the exact date. However, all our cheeses have a minimum shelf life of one month.

Why can’t I find Nature’s Nectar on your website or in shops?
Thank you for your enquiry. We regularly review our range and have sadly decided this cheese will no longer be part of the Snowdonia Cheese Co collection.

Are your products handmade?
Our chutneys are traditionally handcrafted in copper pans, using the finest ingredients.
How long do your products keep?
See the lid for the best before date. Our chutney should be refrigerated once opened and consumed within six weeks of opening.
Are your chutneys suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, all our chutneys are suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.

Yes, both the jar and lid can be recycled.
What is the shelf life of your chutneys?
Our chutneys have a shelf life of a minimum of six months, but once opened they should be kept refrigerated and consumed within six weeks.

Our chutneys do not contain nuts. However, they are made on a site which handles allergens.
Which cheeses do you recommend serving your crackers with?
Our Wholemeal & Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers pair beautifully with rich and creamy hard cheeses such as our classic Black Bomber extra mature Cheddar or Rock Star, our distinctively rich cave-aged Cheddar. The Fig & Cranberry Crackers are the perfect carrier for Rock Star vintage cave-aged Cheddar, any blue cheese, or a hard continental cheese such as a nutty Gruyère. And our Spelt & Sea Salt Crackers are an exceptional match for rich and savoury cheeses such as our Red Storm vintage Red Leicester.
Are your crackers gluten-free?
Unfortunately, our crackers are not gluten-free.
What is the use-by date on the cheese bakes?
Our cheese bakes have a use-by date of at least 14 days.
How do I serve the cheese bakes?
We recommend serving the cheese bakes in their terracotta dishes. Our Black Bomber Welsh Rarebit Cheese Bake is delicious served with rustic sourdough bread, slices of apple and a glass of golden ale. The Rock Star Cheese & Wine Bake makes a delicious sharing dip with crusty baguette, crudités and cornichons.
How do I cook the cheese bakes?
We recommend following the cooking instructions on the packaging. The bakes can be cooked in the oven for 20-22 minutes or in the microwave for 1 minute 30 to 2 minutes.
Can the terracotta pot be recycled?
Unfortunately, it cannot be recycled but it can be reused as a dish.
Are your bakes suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, our cheese bakes are suitable for vegetarians.
How far in advance should I order my cheese cake?
Orders will be dispatched 2-4 days from receipt of order, so we recommend placing your order 10 days before your wedding to ensure it is delivered on time.
How many people do the wedding cheese cakes serve?
We offer a variety of different sizes.
Celebration Cheese Cake: serves 28-40 people
Wedding Cheese Cake Tower: serves 45-65 people
Ultimate Cheese Cake Tower: serves 75-110 people
Can I choose my own cheeses?
Unfortunately, we are unable to change the cheeses included in the cake. However, you can add additional cheeses to your order to create a bespoke tower.
What’s the best-before date?
We guarantee a minimum shelf life of one month on our cheeses.

No, we haven’t included decorations so you can customise the cake to suit your taste.

Unfortunately, the products featured in our gifts sets cannot be changed.
Can I send my gift to someone else’s address?
Yes, please add the shipping address you wish to send your order to at the checkout.
Does the cheese need to be kept refrigerated?
Yes, please ensure that the cheese is refrigerated at 2-5C. Any gifts will need to be carefully concealed in the fridge until the right moment!
Can I add a message to my order?
Yes – when purchasing one of the products in our gift range, there is an option to add a personalised message during the checkout process. This will be presented on a complimentary note card.
Do you offer a gift-wrapping service?
Unfortunately, we are unable to gift wrap our products – but many of our products are presented in beautiful hampers and gift baskets.
How does the recipient redeem the gift card?
Once you have completed your purchase, the e-gift card is emailed directly to the recipient with your chosen image and message. The e-gift card includes a personal discount code that the recipient can apply at the checkout stage when ordering through our online shop, which will apply a discount to the full value of the voucher.
How long is the gift card valid for?
The gift card is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The voucher expiry date will be included on the e-gift card email sent to the recipient.
When is the gift card delivered to the recipient?
The e-gift card is emailed to the recipient immediately after you complete the purchase – so please only buy when you are ready for them to receive it!
How do I know the recipient has received their gift card?
You can tick a box when completing your order to be notified when the gift card has been sent to the recipient.
What do I do if the recipient hasn’t received their gift card?
If the recipient hasn’t received their gift card email, please check that their email address was entered correctly and that it hasn’t gone through to their junk mail or spam folder. If you require any assistance, please contact our customer service team at info@snowdonia-cheese.co.uk.
Can a gift card also be used towards any delivery charges on an order?
Yes, the gift card can be used for the total order cost, including delivery.
Can the gift card be used by more than one person or across more than one order?
The gift card can only be used by one person. If the total order value is less than the value of the gift card, any balance will remain on the card and may be applied to future purchases, provided that the card has not expired. The gift card may also be used to place an order of a higher price than the amount on the card, on payment of the difference.
Can I select a specific date for delivery?
We offer Named Day and Next Day Delivery for an additional charge of £6 or £9 for weekend deliveries. Your order will be delivered on a day of your choice Tuesday to Friday (Mon-Sun from Nov & Dec)
Available dates will usually be available up to six weeks into the future. We aim to meet our delivery promise, but delays and changes may occur outside of our control once an order is handed over to our courier partners. Please see our full Terms & Conditions for more information. Despite the very high likelihood that the delivery will arrive on the desired date, we do advise ordering with a day or two to spare, to allow for rare delays.
Where do you deliver to?
We are currently only able to process orders to mainland UK addresses through our website. This excludes Northern Ireland and various Scottish postcodes, including the Highlands. Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to PO boxes
How safe is the cheese to eat if my parcel is left outside my property in warm weather?
If a customer is not home to receive delivery and no arrangements have been made to leave the delivery in a safe space or with a neighbour, couriers will leave the parcel outside the property. If this occurs and the parcel is left in warm weather for a number of hours, the cheese will almost certainly still be safe to eat. We include cooling packs in the parcel, and prepare and pack the contents in such a way that high temperatures can be withstood for several hours.
How soon can I expect an order to be delivered?
Orders are normally delivered within 3-5 working days from receipt of order. Orders will be delivered between Tuesday and Friday. At peak times there can be delays to the service, but this will be made clear on the online shop.
Can I send an order to a BFPO (British Forces Post Office) address?
Unfortunately, we cannot send orders to BFPO addresses at this time due to restrictions on sending perishable goods.
What happens if I’m not at home when goods are delivered?
When your order is dispatched, you will receive a communication from our courier giving you the chance to amend the arrangements for your delivery should no one be at home to receive it. You will be able to make arrangements to leave the delivery in a safe space or with a neighbour or otherwise move the delivery date forward by one day. Please be aware that due to the perishable nature of our products, our courier service will not be able to attempt redelivery.
