Introducing the Ultimate Cheese Toastie, bringing together the intensely savoury notes of our award-winning Black Bomber extra mature Cheddar and our irresistibly sweet and tangy Balsamic Caramelised Onion Chutney. Rich and creamy Cheddar. Sweet caramelised onions with aged balsamic vinegar. It’s a deliciously indulgent pairing, melted within golden slices of buttered sourdough bread. Savour every bite.

Method

  1. On the first slice of bread, spread butter on both sides.
  2. On the second slice of bread, spread butter on one side and the chutney on the other.
  3. Place slices of Black Bomber on top of the chutney so it’s generously covered. Next, top with the second slice of bread that has butter on both sides.
  4. Place the entire sandwich into a preheated skillet. Rest the sandwich press on top and cook for 2-3 mins.
  5. Carefully turn over the sandwich with the spatula and cook the other side, resting the sandwich press on top again, until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Remove the toastie from the skillet and let it rest for a moment to allow the bread to crisp up. Slice it in half and serve immediately.
